Counseling for Men

Admitting that you have problems is often difficult. At the same time, it is the first step toward a life that feels authentic and aligned.

Many men wait too long before seeking help – or don’t seek it at all. Women are usually quicker to reach out for support. We men often think: “It’s not that bad… I can handle this… I have to manage it on my own.”

Yes, we are strong and have our own ways of coping with difficult situations. But sometimes it simply becomes too much – especially when it comes to our emotions. Men also need support to better understand their feelings.

Topics in Men’s Counseling

In my work with men, it’s not just about talking about issues. I also show how to use emotional awareness and the process of inquiry to break out of the often recurring patterns and to develop a deeper connection to one’s own feelings, presence as a man, and place in the world.

Dealing with Emotions & Feelings

Most men find it difficult to tolerate and talk about difficult emotions. Yet this is exactly what is crucial for health and well-being. Men who consciously recognize and regulate their emotions are happier, have more fulfilling relationships, and are less likely to suffer from heart problems or loneliness.

Relationship Issues & Sexuality

Men often suffer in silence within relationships.
They feel pressured to accept the situation or to please everyone – their partner, friends, family.

But relationships are not a black box: there are ways to create healthy relationships. This requires a healthy relationship with oneself – with one’s own feelings and with what one can or cannot accept in a partnership.

Midlife Crisis: What Do I Do with My Life?

Perhaps you have been pursuing goals for a long time – or experienced a major disappointment, shock, or the sudden loss of an important relationship. A midlife crisis is certainly challenging and frightening, but at the same time, it is a great opportunity to grow and become the person you truly want to be.

Being A Man

In the 21st century, being a man is not easy – with all the conflicting expectations and ideals coming at us. What does it truly mean to be a man? Am I the man I want to be? How do I deal with the shadow sides of my masculinity while also standing in my inner strength?

I support men in discovering their own masculinity – one that truly fits them.

FAQs
